About the Addison Girls Sports Program
AGSP is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers that provides organized Softball and Volleyball to girls in Addison, IL.
Our Missision
AGSP is committed to providing girls in the Addison area an opportunity to play organized sports. AGSP currently offers two programs, Softball and Volleyball.
Our History
The Addison Girls Sports Program is a non-for-profit organization established in 1993. The program has enjoyed much growth and success, as it boasts over 450 registered participants each year.
Our Softball League
AGSP offers four leagues to accommodate girls of all ages. We provide the girls with an instructional league at ages 6 and 7, an in-house and travel league for ages 8 through 10 and travel leagues for the 11 thru 14 year olds. The organization supports 24 teams during the Spring and Summer including tournament teams upon the completion of our seasons.
Our Volleyball League
AGSP supports fall and winter activities as well. We offer 3 leagues to accommodate girls from grades 4 thru High School. The girl's practice once or twice a week and compete in best of three matches on Saturday. The volleyball league also supports an exciting tournament upon the season's completion.
Our Basketball League
AGSP introduced a new basketball program in 2012 comprised of 3rd grade - 8th grade girls. The season takes place January through March starting right after Volleyball and right before Softball. Practices are scheduled once or twice a week with full court refereed games taking place ATHS field house on weekends. We are excited to offer this program for girls to determine their basketball interest, develop their skill sets, and have fun along the way. This is a great opportunity to get involved in this popular sport well before their Grade School or High School Basketball programs start.
Our Goals
AGSP strives to promote personal development as well as sports. Our parents, families and friends volunteer their time to coach the sports and are encouraged to emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship and developing self-esteem. AGSP provides activities 12 months a year! Our goal is to continue to provide affordable and fun sports programs for the families of our community and with your support we can continue to achieve this goal.AGSP Board Members
